Each year, AnSR Games makes some goals, usually tells everyone about them, and then checks back in to see how we did. We had some really great headway going into 2022, and had a lot of plans. Did we get them all done? Well... maybe. Kinda. Spoiler Alert, we give ourselves a solid A for the year. Make enough money to pay for the website (~$20). Release 2 new games using the ZipWarz rule set. Accomplished. 2 of our successful Kickstarters were stand-alone games about Angels, and both used the ZipWarz rule-set. We are proud to have these out in the wild, and have so many backers join us on this journey. Release 1 new expansion for Promise RebornAccomplished. Right at the end of the year, we released Promise Discovered. We did this primarily so we could hype it up and be part of the cool sale TheGameCrafter is having in January. So... keep a look out for a reduced price on the new expansion AND the core game in 2023. Release at least 1 new YMOR GameAccomplished. We could double dip on this, and say the ZipWarz Kickstarters were our YMOR releases, but we won't. Instead, we released a new ZipWarz-based dungeon Crawl game called ZipWarz Quests. This is a cool new series of games that takes the ZipWarz rules, and puts it in a card-based exploration game. Each ZipWarz Quest game is different, and we are thrilled to have this in the bank of possible games we can make quickly and easily. (Optional) Run 2 or more crowd-funding campaigns. Accomplished. We ran 3 new Kickstarter Campaigns. All successful. All fun. All with the best backers in the world. (Optional) Get 2 RPGs ready for 2023 release. Accomplished. We have been working on U3 RPGs for a while now, and we finally have a good layout and "formula" to let us produce a lot of these relatively quickly. The first 2 coming up will be about Angels and a dip into the world of modern fantasy. Don't be surprised if we add in a few more later on in 2023. (Optional) Make an updated version of DiColumns. Not accomplished. One year. One year, we will make a new version of our first free game, DiColumns, and publish it. We almost had it, but it fell flat, and just did not hit the spot we wanted. One year, we'll do this. Other AccomplishmentsManaSeekers We previewed a cool game called Mana Seekers last year. That is still coming, but we wanted to find a way to make it be a big splash. We really think it is a special game, and deserves a lot of love. Chop and Barrel game We get some of our groceries from a local chop and barrel store. While hanging around eating some fine chicken from there, we came up with a game about their store that fits in 18 cards, and is a blast to play. We are slowly turning that game into a little line of games that we can retheme for whatever topic we want. Chesspell A fun, new game we made is a chess-based fantasy battle game using the ZipWarz rules called Chesspell. It is a bit like CH35S, but on a chessboard and with some hints of Angels: Heralds of War in there. It is super fun, and we are putting the final touches on it now. That's a WrapThat's it. That's what we did in 2022. There are some other stuff, but we're saving talking about those until they are done and live for people to enjoy. In fact, for 2023, we are going to keep our plans to ourselves so that we continue to work hard on them and can celebrate when they are live.
Thank you for a great year. We look forward to brining you more games in 2023 via Kickstarter... and other means! Comments are closed.
